Polishing Plant

Underscoring our Team’s scientific, engineering and manufacturing abilities, we provided a design for a “polishing plant”, which is an auxiliary treatment unit for an existing low-performing wastewater treatment systems.

We reworked our standard modular bioreactor plant to receive substandard effluent, directing it thru our membrane bioreactor module’s elements, so it will produce an extremely high-grade effluent that will meet the newly established NC Dept of Environmental Quality standards.

There are two takeaways here.  First, for existing wastewater treatment systems with borderline effluent, our high efficiency polishing units provide a much lower cost alternative to changing out an entire system.

Second, for older plants that are within Discharge Permit compliance today, those operators may consider this option to comply with the new environmental standards as their Discharge Permits come up for renewal.
